Brittens Music saved
35-year-old MI retailer goes into administration and is bought within two weeks
After going into administration earlier this month, Brittens Music has been bought by owner Andrew Collins who purchased the two remaining stores this week.
Brittens Music was placed into administration on July 2nd to protect the business following the closure of its Boosey@Brittens branch on Wigmore street, London.
The business is now owned by Brittens Music Direct, but will continue to trade under its original name and the two remaining branches will remain open.
Craig Claassen of the West Byfleet store commented: “Its business as usual here and at Tunbridge Wells. We’re as strong as ever and have a new music school opening soon.”
The company’s stores at Tunbridge Wells and West Byfleet are due to be complemented in late August by a revamped direct sales operation, and a major overhaul of its online sales.
Dave White, company secretary of Brittens Music Direct concluded: “Brittens Music is still very much alive and well and continues to serve all our customers wherever they are located.”
